Jogjatoday – Thousands of people
gathered on Lapangan Karang Yogyakarta to took apart on Kirab Budaya to
celebrates Festival Budaya Kotagede (Kotagede Culture Festival) 2015.
Kirab Budaya Starts from Lapangan Karang Kotagede and finished on
Lapangan Singosaren Kotagede. This march consisting of 10 brigades and 5
OPKP (Traditions Concerns Organization) were striding while bring along
symbols that represents Kotagede such as Gapura Padukarsa as a main
gate of Kotagede, Cincin Mban Menjangan and Uluk replicates the presents
of queen Kalinyamat, Degan imitating Wahyu Gagak Emprit, Beringin tree
that planted by Sunan Kalijaga, Gilang Lipuro stone represents Danang
Sutowijoyo’s sanctuary, Kris Kebo Dengen Ki Bocor describing Danang
Sutowijoyo’s Power.
This march also represents every aspect
of daily live on Kotagede and enacted Kotagede’s history opened by Ki
Gede Pemanahan on Mentaok Forrest and closed by Mataram District be
famous and visited mostly. This act was displayed on Jagalan plaza
(square).
Erwito Wibowo as directing committee on
Kirab Budaya said that Kirab Budaya is one of occasion that completed
Festival Budaya Kotagede that firstly performed on 2012.
